Let us count the ways...
1.) Hello, beautiful! He is gorgeous with his golden hair and deep and revealing blue eyes! His good looks make him completely swoon-worthy.
2.) Narian has a destiny to fulfill. Legend says that only he will be able to overthrow the land of Hytanica.
3.) Rough childhood much? Narian was taken from his birth parents in Hythanica and raised in Cokyri, because you know, the whole legend thing. He was basically lied to for his whole life, which leads us to...
4.) Alera + Narian= Love. After Narian flees to Hythanica to find out what it is like on the other side, he falls madly in love with Princess Alera. Their love is star-crossed, but Alera is the only one who had the ability to see through Narian's thick exterior.
5.) Narian is the underdog. We love underdogs. When Narian has to leave Hytanica, Alera is forced to marry Steldor even though it is completely clear that she holds no love for him. Alera has to assume that Narian left to help the Cokyri people fulfill his destiny against her people, but she knows that Narian would never harm her.
6.) When will I see you again? Trapped in a loveless marriage, Alera dreams and holds hope that Narian will return to her. We hold that hope, too!
